No Limit Gaming has signed esports legend Yoan "ToD" Merlo to play Warcraft 3 under its organization's banner. ToD has a storied career in both Starcraft 2 and Warcraft 3, and has since built upon his legacy as a caster.

Not only does this mark ToD's return to active play, but it also is the first signing for NLG outside of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. In an Instagram post, ToD confirmed that he would continue his work as a caster while making time for the selective tournaments he is competing in.

ToD becoming active as a player is a massive boon to Warcraft 3's resurgence, especially after both WC3 and SC2 became part of ESL's Pro Tour, which debuted its 2020 circuit at DreamHack Anaheim last month. The fact that ToD will continue to cast uninhibited by his new opportunity makes it all the sweeter. ToD is also an avid poker player, and since NLG is already a poker-focused organization, expect to see him play that for the org as well.
