“All for Ladies”, Overwatch Tournament for Female Overwatch Players in Korea ends successfully

 

On Oct 14th, a special Overwatch tournament was held in S. Korea. The “All for Ladies” tournament was dedicated to female gamers who enjoy Overwatch.


Organized by Eyedentity Entertainment, the “All for Ladies” tournament was the first tournament where teams that have only female members could participate. 96 female players from 16 teams participated in the tournament.

 


After an 8-hour-long fierce tournament, the Pandora Ladies finally won the tournament. The Pandora Ladies have been practicing online for about 3 months, and won against team First Lady 3-0 to prove their skills.


“I didn’t know there were this many women who enjoy Overwatch. It was so much fun and I’m really happy that we won.” said Ye-Jin Kim, the team leader of the Pandora Ladies. “I hope there will be more tournaments like this in the future.” Kim also added.

Overwatch is a popular game among Korean female gamers. Female players like Jisoo “Akaros” Jang (commentator for APEX Challengers) and Seyun “Geguri” Jin have been playing Overwatch since the game’s launch.


The “All for Ladies” Tournament will be broadcasted on Oct 28th through WEGL’s official Twitch Channel.
