Games Workshop has officially launched its Korean subsidiary, Games Workshop Korea, and is beginning direct sales operations in the domestic market.
'Warhammer' is a brand encompassing tabletop miniature games—led by 'Warhammer 40k' and 'Warhammer Age of Sigmar'—as well as related novels, media content, and licensed merchandise.
As its first major move, Games Workshop Korea will open the first official 'Warhammer' flagship store in Korea near Sinnonhyeon Station in Gangnam District, Seoul, on the 20th. The store will feature official Korean-language titles and exclusive merchandise specially produced for domestic fans.
Through its Korean subsidiary, Games Workshop plans to pursue a more systematic and direct market strategy. By moving away from the previous supply chain model centered on intermediaries and establishing a direct-to-retailer and partner system, the company aims to improve supply stability and bring its globally proven brand experience to the domestic market.
In line with the opening of the Gangnam store, the company has launched a Korean-language service for the 'Warhammer' community website and established official social media channels. Furthermore, it is running various user-participation programs and plans to gradually expand its supply chain to include local offline retailers.
