Hearthstone players around the world were treated to an announcement on Thursday afternoon by the game's development team. Shared on the title's official Twitter account, the most recent expansion, Forged in the Barrens, will feature a mini-set of 66 cards set to go live next week.

Set in the Wailing Caverns, the team of Horde mercenaries will venture into the unknown where corrupted beasts who eat corrupted beasts stand in their way. With the release date of Thursday, June 3 made official, cards will start being revealed as soon as Friday.

According to the game's development team, the set will consist of 35 unique cards (66 in total) that are made up of 16 common cards, 14 rare cards, one epic card, and four legendary ones. Similar to the last mini-set that went live during the Madness at the Darkmoon Faire expansion, players can purchase all of the content on launch day with in-game gold or cash. For the price of 2000 gold or $14.99 (USD), players won't need to open Forged in the Barrens packs to pull the new cards on day one.

With danger around the corner and hidden in the darkness of the Wailing Caverns, players won't have to wait long to see if they too can make it out alive.
