John Ternus, currently Apple's Senior Vice President of Hardware Engineering, will take over as the next CEO. While Apple’s official website shared a calm and composed message stating that Cook would transition to the role of Chairman of the Board, his subsequent career move is rather unconventional.

Aurora Gaming officially announced Cook's recruitment via its X (formerly Twitter) account. The organization presented the news with an image styled like a professional esports player announcement, stating that Cook will compete as a player in the Microsoft Excel division.

Aurora Gaming reported that Cook shared a brief comment: "I want to prove that I still got it."
