XD Entertainment announced on the 13th that it has released a preview for SS12 'Lunaria,' the new season of its self-developed cross-platform hack-and-slash action RPG, 'Torchlight: Infinite.'
The preview was first revealed during an official YouTube live broadcast on April 10, showcasing the core content and system changes for the upcoming season update.
SS12 'Lunaria' is built around a new gameplay structure centered on 'Luna Statues' found within the Otherworld. Players progress through seasonal content by activating these statues and defeating Luna-tribe monsters to earn loot and exclusive resources. The update enhances strategic gameplay by allowing players to use 'Luna Rings' to activate multiple statues simultaneously, which increases reward efficiency.
In addition, various random event systems such as 'Omen of Luna' and 'Rhapsody' will be introduced throughout the season. These elements—including golden statues, special monster spawns, and rule variations—are designed to provide a fresh combat experience even during repetitive gameplay.
Regarding hero progression, a new trait for 'Sage' called 'Licorice Note' was unveiled. This trait expands on the traditional healing potion concept by introducing a combat system based on 'Elixir Bottles,' allowing for customizable builds that generate various effects through ingredient combinations.
Alongside this, a new elixir-focused skill system and a hero memory enhancement system were also revealed, signaling large-scale changes aimed at expanding existing build structures.
'Torchlight: Infinite' plans to continue its tradition of expanding the player experience with new concepts and systems each season. SS12 'Lunaria' is scheduled for official release on April 17, and more detailed information about the new season can be found on the official website and Naver Lounge.
