Fortnite Season 10: The Mechs And The Meteor

Out of all of the changes to Fortnite Season 10, two stand out more than the others. Duos can now operate two-man B.R.U.T.E. mechs, and Dusty Depot's mysterious return is characterized by the meteor that destroyed it at the end of season 3, hovering in statis just moments before impact.

The two largest season 10 map changes were teased in two still images with accompanying tweets. One image featured a robotic silhouette, and the other featured Dusty Depot in pristine condition before its destruction at the end of season 3.

These changes hinted at the return of The Visitor, who is presumably a time traveler and is responsible for Dusty Depot's destruction by meteor and subsequent re-configuration into Dusty Divot. The Visitor also launched the rocket that caused tears in the fabric of space-time on the Fortnite map at the end of season 4.

Hints at the Visitor's return not only came from Dusty Depot's potential return ot the map, but also the Visitor insignia that is branded onto the mechs. Players can also interact with the meteor while it is frozen in time, including the ability to venture inside and explore the space rock.

The Visitor seems to be manipulating things around the Fortnite map once again, and while he as not been seen himself since becoming an available skin, there are certain indicators that he may be close by:

Season 10 has plenty of exciting things to offer Fortnite players in the way of gameplay and world-building, but players will have to enjoy themselves with the season's new features until the end of the season cinematic to see what will happen next.
