Ewok joins FaZe Clan


Fortnite streamer, competitor, and content creator Soleil "Ewok" Wheeler has signed to FaZe Clan. The 13-year old phenom is the first female professional player to be signed by FaZe, as well as the first female professional Fortnite player.

 


Since first blowing up off of a host from fellow Fortnite streamer Timothy John "TimTheTatman" Betar, Ewok has taken the scene by storm, becoming a prominent figure in the Fortnite community and an inspiration to deaf gamers worldwide. Ewok, who has taken her influence a step further by beginning to sign in-game Fortnite language, made her first big appearance at the 2019 Fortnite Celebrity Pro-Am at the Fortnite Summer Block Party in Los Angeles on June 16th.


FaZe Clan has been rebuilding its Fortnite ranks after Turner "Tfue" Tenney, considered by many to be the best Fortnite player in the world, sued the organization over his contract last month. Soon after, it was revealed that Tfue's duo partner and FaZe Fortnite captain Dennis "Cloakzy" Lepore had been working with the organization for months towards an amicable separation.

Ewok played at in the Pro-Am at the 2019 Fortnite World Cup yesterday with singer Jordan Fisher, announced alongside the competition to uproarious applause from the crowd at Arthur Ashe Stadium. While New York City may be Ewok's biggest stage appearance yet, but in signing with FaZe, Ewok may be making far more apperances than just the occasional Pro-Am in the near future.
