On the 6th (KST), SK Telecom T1 headed to Vietnam for the 2019 Mid Season Invitational. On their way, head coach Kim “kkOma” Jeong-gyun commented on going to such event. “As much as we won the spring split and became LCK representatives, we’ll return with the trophy.” said kkOma. “I want to bring the title: ‘best league in LoL’ to the LCK.”

He picked iG as the team he’s looking out for the most. “iG is last year’s Worlds champion. I personally think to win Worlds, all positions have to be good. They’re a fearsome team and they fight really well. That’s the part that we’re the most cautious about. One mistake can give up the game.”

On G2, kkOma evaluated them as a strategic team. “Although many say that G2 is strong, when I watched their matches, they didn’t seem as difficult to play against as iG. They attempt many creative strategies; I think that’s what we should watch out for.”

“Although we wouldn’t know about how prepared we are until we play the first match, I can say that the practicing process was good.” said kkOma, when asked how well prepared the team was for the tournament and asserted that, “since it’s an international competition, conditions on the day and outer issues would also matter.”

KkOma also briefly spoke about the meta as well. “Lissandra was nerfed which is quite critical. It may cause a domino in the meta.”

He spoke of why he selected Kang “Haru” Min-seung for the 'sixth-man'. “I can’t explain everything because there are so many reasons. What I can say is that he could also perform on stage according to the situation.”
