Veteran bot laner of Hanwha Life Esports, Sangyoon has reached 1,000 kills in the LCK.

On the 13th of February (KST), Gwon “Sangyoon” Sang-yun reached the 1,000 kill milestone against Gen.G Esports. Sangyoon has been playing as a bot laner in the LCK since the 2016 season in the Afreeca Freecs. He later joined ROX Tigers which became Hanwha Life Esports.

In game 1 against Gen.G, Sangyoon picked Ashe, one of his signature champs into Ruler’s Sivir. He pulled off a 4/2/9 record, bringing his tally up to 999. Near the end of the game, he actually had a chance to hit 1,000, but he decided not to and went on to finish the game.

According to Sung Seung-heon, LCK caster, Sangyoon may have added up wrong and thought he already reached 1,000 kills. In the following game 2, Sangyoon finally reached 1,000 kills, again playing Ashe, killing Fly's Sion.

As of Sangyoon achieving 1,000 kills, he became the 8th player to reach the milestone. Ahead of Sangyoon was Faker, PraY, Bang, Score, Kuro, Smeb, and Ambition. Arrow isn’t far behind, but he’s currently playing in the LCS. Behind Arrow, Deft is collecting more kills.
