LA Gladiators Sign Byung Ho “Panker” Lee Onto Two-Way Contract

LOS ANGELES (December 10th, 2018) - The Los Angeles Gladiators have signed Byung Ho “Panker” Lee to a two-way contract, which will allow him to play in both Contenders and the Overwatch League 2019 Season.

Originally from Ansan, South Korea, Panker played for a year with Team KongDoo Uncia, who finished 3-4th in Overwatch APEX Season 1. He then moved to North America to play with Toronto Esports and was picked up to Gladiators Legion, the Gladiators’ Contenders affiliate. He has spent the past year as the main tank for the Legion, who finished 2nd in their group during Overwatch Contenders Season 2.

“We’re happy to welcome Panker to part of the OWL roster. We have at least two players in every position except main tank. He’s done an excellent job as main tank in our Contenders and will be a great back up,” says Charlie Lipsie, Director of Esports.

The Gladiators ended Season 1 strong, finishing 4th overall in the inaugural season of the Overwatch League. Since then they have made new acquisitions, signing main tank Chang-hoon “rOar” Gye, DPS Gui-un “Decay” Jang, and support Riku “Ripa” Toivanen to the roster.
