On the 28th, the 2018 NA LCS Week 6 Day that was held in the LA LCS Arena was finished. Three teams formed a leader group; 100 Thieves, Team Liquid, and Echo Fox. The teams that delivered good performance during the last split started to push forward.

Game 1 was important to Cloud9. If they lost this match, they had a lot lesser chance for the playoffs. With Licorice’s Dr.Mundo leading the team up front, Cloud9 defeated TSM. As of this game, TSM fell to a 5-6 record.

The next match teams were on a 2-game streak; one with a winning streak and the other with a losing streak. Both teams extended their streaks to three as OpTic Gaming defeated Counter Logic Gaming with a 1-3-1 split macro against Counter Logic Gaming’s teamfight comp.

It was the first match for Smoothie at his new team, Echo Fox. He brought in a win on his team debut, defeating FlyQuest. Smoothie had a perfect performance with a 1/0/9 record. His harmony with Lost had no problem, even if it was their first game playing together.

Golden Guardians almost tripped Team Liquid again. They started off with a five kill lead in the early game. However, they were too complacent heading towards the mid-late game. Team Liquid succeeded to turn the game around by clinging onto Golden Guardians’ mistakes.

Clutch Gaming changed several members in their starting roster but lost. They weren’t strong enough to face the runner-up of last season in the late game. 100 Thieves took the game long; a 56-minute match, and showed a better macro game to defeat Clutch Gaming.
