[NA LCS Summer Split Week 5 Day 2 Review] 100T, FLY, TL, and FOX Tied at 1st.

On July 21st, the 2018 NA LCS Week 5 Day 2 was held in the LA LCS Arena. Although most people dream of a day better than yesterday, the NA LCS is getting more difficult by the day. Four teams are tied at 1st with 6-4, three teams at 5-5, and two at 4-4. Cloud9 is at the bottom with 3-7; only three games behind.

The first game was a fight to escape last place. OpTic Gaming defeated Cloud9 and placed themselves over Cloud9. After being victorious in a teamfight at bot lane, OpTic Gaming was able to snowball without making any big mistakes. Although Cloud9 showed decent teamfights, they weren’t able to turn the game around. This was the first 2-0 week for OpTic Gaming.

Game 2 was bizarre. FlyQuest had the lower hand all game, but they were able to turn the game with a base race through the middle. While 100 Thieves were trying to split push, FlyQuest seized a chance and started to penetrate through mid. When 100 Thieves also raced to the base, it was too late. FlyQuest destroyed the Nexus only a split second ahead of 100 Thieves and they placed themselves tied at 1st place.

Team Liquid defeated Counter Logic Gaming in Game 3. Counter Logic Gaming picked a charging comp, but Team Liquid was able to avoid their charges with Doublelift’s Kai’Sa. The comp for Team Liquid was better in the late game, and they were able to win without much trouble.

Team SoloMid succeeded to break their losing streak in the next game. Bjergsen played his name’s worth. Playing Talon, Bjergsen picked up kills all over the Rift. With Team SoloMid’s active performance, Clutch Gaming wasn’t able to put up a good fight.

Echo Fox also added another win. It was a hard match for them. The Golden Guardians, who have been playing splendid lately, didn’t allow an easy win. However, Echo Fox was more experienced in the late game, and they took the victory.
