The Most Efficient Ways to Use Gold and Bluestone in the Early and Middle Phase of Returners

There are different types of resources in Returners, ranging from the usual gold; Bluestones, which are acquired from daily quests and purchases; medals that are earned in the arena; and guild points, which are obtained from guild activities.

The most common and crucial resources that you need to manage are gold and Bluestones. Gold is used for many things, such as enhancing gear, summoning heroes, and upgrading skills. The amount of gold required for enhancing gear is quite significant. If your gold is spent carelessly, you will not be able to summon heroes or enhance your gear, so efficient spending is highly recommended.

Bluestones, on the other hand, can be purchased, and are used to obtain high-quality gear or summon heroes without needing to get their achievements. This resource can be earned through daily quests and other sources as well; to avoid wasting it, players should know where to spend it best.

Gold and Bluestones, two main resources in Returners

◆ The reckless use of gold leads to scarcity

▶ Summary of efficient gold use

⊙ Not all gear needs to be enhanced! Enhance legendary gear, but do not use too much normal equipment as material
⊙ Do not use gear that is lower than 3-star as material! It is not efficient
⊙ Summon as many heroes as you need at first. Summon as soon as you have enough resources when you reach a plateau after chapter 4 Gold can be acquired by playing different content including Adventure, Special Dungeons, Raid, Exploration, and daily quests.

The gold you acquire can be used in many ways, but summoning heroes and enhancing equipment are the two processes that eat up the most gold. In particular, the rate of gold consumption increases drastically as you add more gear as materials. Thus, it is important to invest the resource at the right time in order to avoid gold scarcity.

Enhance legendary gear as much as you can
, but you can also enhance rare gear to allow you to complete certain stages. It is also crucial to use enhance materials of the same equipment type.

In Returners, the performance difference between normal, rare, and legendary are significant even if they are all at a 6-star level, so the ultimate objective is to equip legendary gear. It is therefore common to discard any equipped normal or rare gear when you obtain legendary equipment, even if you have invested a vast amount of gold into the previous item. In the end, spending gold to upgrade common equipment will be an overall loss.

Moreover, regardless of the exp you receive from enhancing equipment, using equipment items as enhancement materials will greatly increase the gold cost of enhancement; therefore it is more efficient to use only enhancement materials if possible. Note that materials of the same kind provide 50% more exp. Normal gear that is lower than 3-star is not that efficient in terms of enhancement, so it is better to sell them to obtain gold and Demonstones.

Always prioritize enhancing legendary gear more than other quality gear
Sell gear that is lower than 3-star as its efficiency as a material is not that great
Use high-quality materials of the same kind for more exp

When it comes to summoning heroes, it is best to not rush and purchase them when you have enough resources. This is because you don’t need that many additional heroes once you complete your basic team, though of course, every player’s preferences for heroes and compositions are different. In particular, new heroes, in the beginning, cannot equip the relatively good gear and thus cannot be used effectively, and the cost of summoning them is also a detriment at the start.

You should summon additional heroes when an existing hero is in middle of transcendence. A hero that is transcending cannot earn more exp, so it is best to summon a new hero to take their place; this way, you don’t lose out on exp. The hero that is being transcended can then go to explore with miscellaneous gear obtained from Adventure stages, while the new hero equips the main gear and goes to Adventure for some quick exp gain.

You will then eventually hit a wall while proceeding through the Adventure stages; this usually happens because your combat strength is not high enough to beat the stages. At this point, it is best to do daily quests for more Bluestones and repeat lower-level stages to get more legendary gear. Doing this will earn you a large amount of gold, which can be used for summoning additional heroes.

Although it may be different depending on how successful your RNG draws are, players normally encounter a high hurdle when they reach chapter 4; this is a good time to summon more heroes with gold, which should be close to 1 million if you’ve been spending efficiently. More heroes mean better and more Explorations, and this becomes a good foundation for existing heroes to be strengthened more efficiently.

◆ Use your saved Bluestones at once!

▶ Summary of efficient Bluestone uses

⊙ Do NOT use Bluestones to summon heroes! If you insist on doing so, use them for summoning high-spec heroes only
⊙ Draw rare weapon and accessory boxes first
⊙ After equipping your gear, draw using 30,000 Bluestones at once and receive Loyalty Rewards

Bluestone is a purchased resource which is commonly used for drawing high-quality items and can also be used to summon heroes. It is extremely handy since it can be used in many ways. However, Bluestones are difficult to earn and expensive to purchase, so it can be difficult figuring out what to spend them on as to not waste them.

Generally speaking, it is usually best to use them for drawing gear. Spending Bluestones on summoning heroes is not a good option, but you can choose to spend a small amount on a high-spec hero if you would like to have him/her immediately.

Heroes in Returners are not randomly summoned through gacha, and all of them are easy to come by as you continue through the game. Even Cleopatra, who can only be obtained from the Blue Stone achievement, can be easily summoned if you the spend Blue Stones acquired from daily quests.

However, it’s a different story when it comes to equipment. The chances of acquiring legendary gear are quite low even with the Rare Weapon Draw, and even if you manage to get one, the item may not be the one you are looking for. You have to deal with duplicates, and there’s a high chance you will obtain unnecessary gear as well.

Also, a hero summoned with Bluestones cannot be used at its full potential without gear. If you still wish to summon high-spec heroes as soon as possible, then Jumong, Taejo, Seiren, Cassandra, and Alexander would be the best ones since they perform well in the current meta after you level them.

It is not necessary to summon heroes with Bluestones

That only leaves one logical way to spend your Blue Stones; Rare Gear Drawings. There are two things you need to remember with drawings in Returners: draw 11 rare gears with 3,000 Blue Stones at once, and weapon and accessory boxes have top priority.

You can draw 1 rare gear with 300 Bluestones or 11 rare gear with 3,000 Bluestones regardless of the type. Not only is there a better ratio of gear-to-Bluestone in the 11 gear option, the option also guarantees one 5-star gear.

When you draw gear, weapons should always come first, followed by accessories. This is because weapons usually have the most influence in terms of completing stages quickly, and since accessories have relatively higher stats.

Weapons and accessories are the best item draw options
Save up 3,000 Bluestones and use them all for the 11-gear drawing

After you have gotten a good number of suitable equipment, it is usually best to save up your Bluestones till you have 30,000; doing this will allow you to get the Monthly Loyalty Products.

Whenever you draw rare gear, you accumulate Loyalty Points, and as you gain more points, you are given Loyalty gear and legendary gear tickets. Although the Loyalty gear is inferior to legendary gear, it is still useful during the early to mid phase of the game. Moreover, 100 Loyalty points earn you a 5-star gear ticket, allowing you to choose the type of gear you want to receive.

However, it requires more than 3 months to save 30,000 Bluestones if you don’t spend money on them. If you choose to continuously draw gear with 3,000 Blue Stones, the Loyalty Products list will reset when you reach about 30 to 40 Loyalty points and you won’t be able to get the final rewards.

Saving up 30,000 Bluestones gives you a much higher chance of obtaining high-quality gear that you don’t have. While you can still get some nice equipment for spending your Bluestones every time they reach 3,000, you’re bound to get a good number of useless duplicates and weak items. If you are patient enough, the Loyalty Points will guarantee you some nice gear.
