Sony revealed a gameplay trailer for The Last of Us Part 2, the sequel of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us, for the first time at the Sony E3 2018 Showcase.
The 11-minute trailer features grown Ellie, one of the protagonists from the last game, along with some in-game footage. Players will be able to experience a cinematic world brought to life through the fantastic graphics that Naughty Dog is known for.
The trailer also shows a comprehensive combat system including stealth, shooting, and arrow combinations. Not only do players use a bow and a pistol, they can also utilize the surrounding environment in the combat; by throwing a nearby empty bottle at an enemy, for example. There were many intense scenes during combat in the trailer, with characters hiding from enemies underneath deserted cars and pulling out arrows that they’ve been hit with.
The Last of Us Part 2, which was initially revealed in December at the PlayStation Experience 2016, will be launched on PS4. The release date has not been confirmed yet.
