[LoL Asian Games] The Six Korean Representatives Leave for Hongkong


The first-ever Korean League of Legends esports team left for Hongkong to play in the 2018 Asian Games regional preliminaries.

Two months prior to the opening of the 2018 Asian Games, the esports players who will represent Korea have all been decided. From the six esports that'll be played in the Asian Games - League of Legends, StarCraft 2, Hearthstone, Pentastorm, Clash Royale, and PES 2018 - the League of Legends team that consists of Faker and five other highly talented players, left for Hongkong to play in the preliminaries that'll take place on the 8th.

Gen.G Esports' head coach Edgar and Afreeca Freecs' coach Zefa will lead the team. The top laner, AFs Kiin; jungler, KZ Peanut; jungler, KT Score; midlaner, SKT Faker; along with ADC and support, Gen.G Ruler and CoreJJ, made their appearance at the Incheon airport in their uniforms. Before their flight, the players spoke with reporters and journalists and asserted their resolution for the 2018 Asian Games.

For the 2018 Jakarta-Palembang Asian Games, League of Legends teams will play in the regional preliminaries. The national teams that finish the preliminaries with great results will compete in the Asian Games that'll take place on the 18th of August.
