Looper Retires From the Scene: "I apologize to the fans... thank you for having cheered for me"


On the 28th, Looper officially announced his retirement from the scene. After having left Echo Fox, Looper had considered his options before choosing to retire.

Having started his career in Samsung White in 2013, Looper had won the World Championship in his 2nd year, 2014. Afterward, he moved teams to China's M3, where he fell into a slump. In 2016, he recovered from his slump to lead RNG into becoming a fearsome team along with Mata. In 2017, he joined Echo Fox as the team's toplaner, which was the last team he was with until retirement.

Along with his announcement, Looper apologized to the fans. "I'm sorry for not having performed up to expectations. I also apologize for bringing this news now. I want to truly thank all the fans that stayed by my side. The experience of having won the World Championship, and having had so many fans cheer for me... it'll definitely be unforgettable." In addition, Looper mentioned that he'll be focusing on his studies.
