Heroes of the Dorm returns with new Raycom Sports broadcasting deal

Heroes of the Dorm is back, leading an entire lineup of both Hearthstone and Starcraft collegiate esports that will award students more than $1 million in scholarships and prizes. Now four years strong, Heroes of the Dorm has become one of Blizzard and Tespa's flagship collegiate events, drawing in huge crowds and online viewers of the course of its 64-team national bracket.

“With intense student competition and an epic tournament bracket featuring schools across the United States and Canada, Heroes of the Dorm showcases the kind of excitement that can only come from college esports. We look forward to cheering on all of the talented players who will be competing in Heroes of the Storm, as well as Hearthstone and StarCraft II, for their share of Tespa’s biggest scholarship prize pool ever.”

Mike Morhaime, CEO, and co-founder of Blizzard Entertainment.

Eventually, you can watch all of the matches at www.twitch.tv/blizzheroes and www.mlg.com. Fans of prior Dorm tournaments may remember a Facebook-only streaming agreement that proved less than desirable when it came to presenting the matches in their high-quality glory. Thankfully, that doesn't seem to the be the case with this years announcement.
