Source: 4Man NA Wave: Flame, Piglet, Ssumday, And Ray. Reveals Intention To Come Back To Korea To KeSPA.

There is now a high possibility that Immortals’ top laner, Flame, and other Korean players from abroad are coming back to the LCK.

According to LCK officials, the 4 players: previous Immortals’ top laner - Flame, Team Liquid’s ADC - Piglet, Team Dignitas’ top laner - Ssumday, and C9 Impacts’ teammate - Ray have been reported to be willing to return to Korea via KeSPA.

In order for the Korean players currently playing abroad to come back to the LCK, they must announce their return to KeSPA. To remove the possibility of tampering, KeSPA will commence individual contact with the teams in Korea in order to ensure their contracts have indeed expired. KeSPA needs to also make sure whether a prior contact permit has been issued.

Flame has contributed significantly to Immortals in this year’s summer split, allowing them to reach the finals. Although Immortals failed to qualify for the quarterfinals at worlds, they showed an adherent performance in the group stage. Piglet and Ssumday both have been performing as the aces for their team. Even though Ray did not have many opportunities to play on stage, he has shown the top caliber of his skills by reaching rank 1 in NA solo queue.

In the case that all the players listed above get permitted into the LCK, there is a possibility that Flame, Ray, and Ssumday may take over as Afreeca’s top laner (Marin recently left) or Jin Air’s top laner (ikssu’s contract expired). However, there is still an abundant amount of lookouts for talented players for the NA teams. It is still uncertain whether these players will re-enlist into an NA team or come back to Korea for their professional careers.
