This is the full text of QPR' 11/08/2017 press release.

QPR have joined forces with eSports gaming giants Virtual Pro Gaming (VPG) to launch the club's first official eSports team.

VPG is home to hundreds of teams and thousands upon thousands of eager Pro Clubs eSports gamers who play, live and breathe virtual football.

Gamers from around the world have already signed up to represent the R's on the eSports platform, which specializes in 11v11 eSports on the mode 'Pro Clubs on FIFA 18, but there are still four team positions available – and you can be part of it!

To trial for the positions of goalkeeper, left-back, right attacking midfielder and centre-forward, QPR supporters should log on to the QPR eSports Facebook page to register their interest, ahead of a live trial game on Saturday (November 11th) – 7.45pm kick-off.

Once the squad roster is complete, the QPR eSports team will play fixtures on a regular basis, with one match a week streamed live via the club's YouTube platform – for FREE!

QPR Commercial Director, Euan Inglis, told www.qpr.co.uk: “We’re excited to be taking our first steps into eSports with Virtual Pro Gaming.

“There is great scope for us to take this partnership with VPG from strength to strength over the coming seasons, with eSports very much at the forefront of our digital strategy going forward.”
