RNG Uzi: "Meeting a Korean team later on means it's higher chance for us to win"

RNG and SSG were tied for 1st place in Group C, but RNG has overcome their opposition to grab ahold of the ticket to proceed to quarters as the 1st seed. During the game, 'mlxg' played 'Lee Sin', a rather questionable pick in the current meta. But in the end, mlxg defied all expectations and played exceptionally.

Currently, 4 out of the 8 teams that will play in the quarterfinals have been decided.

Group B - 1.) Longzhu Gaming  2.) Fnatic
Group C - 1.) Royal Never Give Up  2.) Samsung Galaxy

Group D will be the next group to see play, and TSM, MSF, and WE are all tied for 1st place with a score of 2-1 for each team.

After the final game of Group C, the star ADC of RNG was interviewed by Sjokz.

'mlxg' told me beforehand that you guys prepared something special for SSG. But in the end, it seemed like you guys just played a normal "RNG comp" with carry toplaner and jungle. Did that, in the end, make a difference?

It was what we had in mind. We wanted to show to the audience, that each of our players is able to play different types of champions and different types of comps.

You guys will probably avoid every Korean team in the quarterfinals. Is this another chance for you to play in another Worlds Finals, here in China?

Avoiding the Korean team in the quarters... I'm very happy about that. Meeting a Korean team later on means it's a higher chance for us to win. So I really hope our team has a good chance of making it to the Finals.

Is there a team that you really want to avoid, or would really like to beat in the quarterfinals?

I don't want to face another LPL team.
