Bandai Namco Entertainment Korea announced that global cumulative sales for the Korean edition of ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE have surpassed 1 million copies. An accolades trailer was also released to commemorate the achievement.
According to the company, the title achieved 1 million sales faster than any other entry in the Ace Combat series. Based on average ratings on review aggregation sites, it recorded the second-highest score in the franchise. The game launched in Early Access on September 29 and was released worldwide on October 2.

ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE is a dramatic flight shooting game where players pilot various fighter jets in single-player and multiplayer aerial combat. Battles take place across skies featuring realistic cloud and terrain rendering. Supported platforms for the Korean release are PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam.
A launch celebration event is running from October 2 to October 23. Players can enter the giveaway by watching the launch trailer and leaving a YouTube comment mentioning the content they are most excited for. Prizes include custom ACE COMBAT 8: WINGS OF THEVE jackets for three winners, Ace Combat 30th Anniversary Orchestra Concert CDs for four winners, and specially designed PlayStation 5 controllers for two winners. Winners will be announced on November 2 via a community post and direct notification.
