On September 30, Kakao Games (Co-CEOs Tae-hwan Kim and Si-woo Lee) announced that it has implemented a comprehensive update for the blockbuster MMORPG 'Odin: Valhalla Rising' (hereinafter 'Odin'), developed by Lionheart Studio (Chairman Jae-young Kim), featuring class balance care and new hero active skills.
First, skill balance, visual effects, and animations for each class have been improved to reinforce their unique roles and combat traits. Adjustments were made so players can enjoy more strategic combat across various content, including party dungeons and large-scale PvP, while highlighting each class's distinct identity. In addition, alongside the new hero active skills, the 'Defender' class receives a new status effect ability called 'Absolute Taunt.'
Quality-of-life updates have also been introduced for player convenience. A 'Synthesis Achievement' tab has been added to the summon system, and an 'Enhancement Failure History' button has been added to the gear enhancement tab, allowing players to review past synthesis and enhancement records. Furthermore, a bag filter feature has been added, and 'Ivaldi's Skill Manual/Book' has been introduced to the Valhalla Battle Exchange Shop.
Kakao Games is running 'Class Change Season 15' through October 7. Players can transfer their current character to a class in another archetype, adjusting customization, avatars, weapon skins, gear, skills, and appearances to suit the new class.
Various events accompany this update. From September 30 to October 7, the 'Loki's Shadow Dimensional Rift' and 'Class Change Care Mission' events will be held. On existing servers, the 'Roskva's Void Ruins Special Hot Time' event will run through October 2, offering increased gold and EXP rates.
The 'Seed of Yggdrasil Event' will run through October 14. Based on cumulative harvest yields during the event, players can earn a variety of rewards, including an 'Ivaldi Avatar/Mount/Weapon Skin Summon Selection Ticket,' 'Dindri's Crystal,' hero skill manuals, and a '+5 Unique Grade Accessory Selection Box.' Through November 4, a rune and boonstone summon/synthesis mission event will take place, while the new server 'Skadi' features 'Enhancement Stone Support Mission Season III,' offering various rewards based on enhancement and crafting missions. On October 3, a special push event celebrating National Foundation Day will distribute various summon tickets and enhancement-related items.
