ONE Store has opened "AI Games," its dedicated AI game section launched last August, to all developers and began accepting submissions for AI-based games on its developer center, ONEconsole. In early October, the name of the section will be changed to "AI Games" and placed in the app's bottom menu.
ONE Store aims to provide individual and small-scale developers utilizing generative AI with opportunities to distribute their games and reach players. Games created through conversations with AI—without coding experience or a dedicated development team—are also eligible for registration.
When registering a product on ONEconsole, developers who indicate that their game utilizes AI will be eligible for feature consideration in the 'AI Games' menu. ONE Store plans to introduce submitted titles to users starting with those that feature higher levels of polish.
It will prioritize support for web games (HTML5) that can be played without installation. Developers can integrate ONE Store's web game SDK to implement monetization features via in-app purchases and in-app ads.
The 'AI Games' menu, scheduled for a revamp in early October, will be permanently displayed at the bottom of the ONE Store app. Users can access the menu with a single tap from any screen within the app, where they will find both games from Verse8—which has participated in curation since August—and titles submitted directly by developers.
Henry Chang, CEO of ONE Store, said, "The rapid advancement of AI models is accelerating a paradigm shift where high-quality, entertaining AI games are flooding the market at incredible speed." He added, "ONE Store will actively embrace this change to become the mobile distribution platform for AI games."
After launching the service domestically, ONE Store plans to gradually expand the region where AI games are offered worldwide.
