The Seongnam Game World Festival 2017, a gaming festival that families can enjoy altogether, will be held from September 1st to 2nd in the Nexon square, Pangyo, South Korea.

This is the 3rd time that the Seongnam Game World Festival has been open this year and it aims to promote healthy game cultures. The exhibitions and events for many excellent games have been held in the area around the Pangyo Techno Valley every year, providing various kinds of contents that all families can enjoy.

Diverse events has been prepared for this year’s Seongnam Game World Festival in order to promote the Industry 4.0 and lay the groundwork for ‘Seongnam the Esports City’. The exhibitions for the gaming industries in Seongnam and indie games, as well as VR experience zones like Monster VR, which has recently started a VR Theme Park in Songdo, will be prepared to entertain the visitors.

Masashi Kawashima, the produce director from Niantic and developer of Pokémon Go, Seokmoon Yoo, the technical director and developer of League of Legends, Hoon Lee, the senior 3D character artist for Destiny 2, Professor Donald Marinelli from the Columbia University, the co-founder of Carnegie Mellon Entertainment Technology Center (ETC), and Grant Davies, the engineering lead for StarCraft: Remastered will be invited to give lectures on various topics at the conference, which will be held for 2 days, starting from September 1st.

Not only that, top Overwatch pro team invitations  and events that visitors can also join for main esports titles like Hearthstone will be held, which has caught the attention of the esports fans.

The cosplay contest will also be held this year, and big figures of Teemo from League of Legends and Death Knight from Lineage will be displayed along with many other entertainments.

There also will be booths where visitors can purchase official Blizzards goods as well as gaming devices along with the booths for gaming industries.
