The second round of server and character name reservations for Kakao Games' new MMORPG 'World of Dokkaebi' closed just five hours after opening. Following the first round closing early in just one hour, the second round's allocation was also exhausted on the same day, prompting Kakao Games to add three new servers. With 15 days remaining before the official release, player demand has exceeded the prepared server capacity for two consecutive rounds.

On September 23, Kakao Games announced that reservations for existing servers, which began at 11:00 AM that day, were completely filled by 4:23 PM. The second round targeted character names between two and eight characters, excluding single-character names. The previous first round, which began at 8:00 PM on September 22, closed in about an hour.
The newly added servers are 'Myorong 1', 'Myorong 2', and 'Myorong 3'. Reservations will begin at 11:00 AM on September 24, and once all three servers are filled, the entire server and character name reservation process will conclude. Single-character names cannot be created on the new servers either, with only names between two and eight characters allowed. Players who have already reserved names on existing servers can move to the new servers, but closed servers cannot be selected. Kakao Games advised that the new servers may also close early.
Pre-registration will remain open even after reservations end. However, canceling pre-registration will also remove any reserved details. After reservations conclude, features such as 'Change Reservation Details' and 'Share Reservation Details with Friends' will no longer be available.
'World of Dokkaebi' is a 2.5D MMORPG based on the IP of the Naver web novel and webtoon 'The Tale of Cultivation and Demon Extermination'. Developed in collaboration with REDICE Studio, the studio behind 'Solo Leveling', the game brings the original work's universe into a game featuring visuals that combine 2D pixel art characters with 3D backgrounds. The official release date is October 8.
