Riot Games unveiled its "WARRIORS" campaign on September 23 to support South Korea's national League of Legends esports team (hereinafter South Korea LoL National Team) competing in international tournaments. In-game missions will run through October 6, alongside match predictions, social media verification, and a finals viewing party.
"WARRIORS" is a campaign built around the idea of the South Korea LoL National Team, LoL players, and esports fans competing together on the battlefield. Through the campaign, Riot Games will sequentially roll out gameplay missions, match predictions, and social media cheer programs.
Running from September 23 to October 6, the "Cheer Through Play!" event awards rewards based on play conditions. Playing "Summoner's Rift" or "Howling Abyss" once grants the National Team Cheer Icon, while playing "Summoner's Rift" twice awards the "Poro Boys" Icon. Playing once as a premade team grants the "GG with Cheerful!" emote, along with one Hextech Chest and one Hextech Key. Players who play once at a PC bang will receive the "Embracing the Flame" emote and one Ancient Spark.
From September 24 to October 2, a total of eight bonus missions will unlock sequentially. Players can earn Hextech Chests and Ancient Sparks based on their cumulative number of PvP wins.
Match predictions will cover fixtures posted on the event page. Players who correctly predict the results of all matches will receive three Hextech Keys. Predictions can be submitted up to 10 minutes before each match begins.
A social media cheer program will also be held. The "Pre-Cheer Verification Event," running from September 21 to 23, encourages fans to share messages for the national team. The "Home-Cheer Verification Event," held from September 30 to October 2, invites fans to post moments of cheering for the national team from the main tournament to the finals on Instagram Stories.
On October 2, a live finals viewing party will be held at Chzzk LoL Park. Participants will be recruited through the official LoL and LCK Instagram accounts. Watching event-eligible LoL matches on Chzzk for 30 minutes rewards the "Best Team Ever!" emote via Drops.
