SOOP will live broadcast the finals of the '2026 GSTL (Global StarCraft II Team League)', a StarCraft II team league held at FreecUP Studio in Daechi-dong, Seoul, at 5 p.m. on the 27th. T1 | ONSYDE, who finished first in the regular season, and BASILISK, who advanced through the playoffs, will face off for the championship.
The '2026 GSTL' is a team league played on StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void. A total of five teams comprising domestic and international players have competed in the regular season and playoffs since August. Unlike the individual-focused GSL (Global StarCraft II League), the format heavily emphasizes team strategy and roster management through advance entry submissions, winner-stays-on matches, and ace matches.
T1 | ONSYDE seeded directly into the finals by placing first in the regular season, while BASILISK reached the finals via the playoffs. The two teams went all the way to an ace match during their regular season showdown as well.
T1 | ONSYDE fields a roster featuring Cho Seong-ju ('Maru'), Park Han-sol ('Zoun'), Shin Hee-bum ('SHIN'), and Kim Jun-ho ('herO'). Representing BASILISK are Joona Sotala ('Serral'), Riccardo Romiti ('Reynor'), Yoon Hong ('trigger'), and Kevin van der Kooi ('RotterdaM08').
The finals will be broadcast in both Korean and English and can be watched on SOOP. Live match coverage and related content will be provided on the official SOOP GSL channel and the SOOP Esports page.
Intel is participating as the official sponsor of the tournament. Crowdfunded contributions raised by fans will also be utilized for tournament operations, and SOOP plans to continue delivering StarCraft II competitions, including GSL and GSTL.
