Cookie Run: OvenBreak, a running action game developed and serviced by Devsisters' (CEO Cho Gil-hyun) development studio Oven Games, will hold a collaboration with globally popular IP Sanrio Characters from the 23rd of this month to the 26th of next month.
Through this update, a total of six Sanrio characters, including My Melody, Kuromi, Cinnamoroll, Pompompurin, Pochacco, and Hangyodon, will join the game as Cookies, alongside six matching Combi Pets that reflect each character's unique traits. Players can play character-specific minigames in the camping-themed title event mode "Autumn Camping with Sanrio Characters!" and complete camping zones to obtain limited illustrated lobbies. In addition, "Sanrio Characters Breakout"—featured relay content where players select a total of six Cookies to run—will open, allowing players to activate "Friends Power-Up" when using exclusive combinations and earn the event currency "Acorn Medals" following weekly tallies every Sunday at 8:00 AM.
Additionally, a new "Friends Level" system has been implemented to reduce the burden of character progression. The "Friends Level" is determined by taking the lowest level among the player's top three highest-level Sanrio Cookies, automatically boosting the levels of the remaining Sanrio characters to match it in major event modes. Collected Acorn Medals can be exchanged for Cookies, Pets, costumes, and more in the Collab Shop. On top of this, a wealth of content will be offered, including "Cookie Trials" for reaching goals, "Hide and Seek with Sanrio Characters!" using magnifying glass items, "Sanrio Characters! Gather Fallen Leaves" where players collect autumn leaves, and "Sanrio Characters! Everyday Fever Day" which awards currency.
