MokaSphere announced that it globally launched the online co-op horror game Yandere Virus on Steam at 4:00 PM on the 21st. The game reached 100,000 wishlists prior to release, with overseas players accounting for 95% of the total.
Yandere Virus is an online co-op horror game for up to four players. Players must collect the in-game item 'Platonic Pumpkins' scattered across the map to craft a cure and rescue their virus-infected friend. The game combines anime-style characters and cooperative gameplay elements as the infected friend pursues the players.
Based on the SCON Universe IP, this title features 11 VTubers as in-game characters, including Iomong, Majet, Angbo, Seno, Wido, Moa, Bukuki, Ha Jiyu, and Heeji from the VTuber group MeeChu, as well as Park Dona and Axolotlupa from SCON.
It previously ranked 43rd in the Popular Upcoming list at Steam Next Fest, Steam's showcase event for upcoming titles that featured approximately 4,400 games. Under the Anime tag in the subculture category, it ranked 4th, following Bandai Namco's Echoes of Aincrad, Hound13's Dragon Sword, and LoadComplete's Void Diver.
The game supports 1–4 players on the PC platform. Supported languages include Korean and multiple other languages.
