Coffee Shop Ichigo, run by retired magician Léa, is a clan naturally formed by staff who gathered there for their own individual reasons. Based in Taito Ward, Tokyo, it is a coffee shop that serves customers with an animal-eared maid concept. Uniquely, Coffee Shop Ichigo is open to both ordinary people and magicians alike.

Natsume Souka is Coffee Shop Ichigo's resident barista, server, and cook. Although she looks young, she is actually a college student on the verge of graduation—a case of a frequent customer who settled in and somehow ended up becoming an employee. Beneath her delicate and sensitive nature, she seems to worry deeply about her future.

Sakuba Yuki is a self-proclaimed samurai and the poster girl of Coffee Shop Ichigo. Originally a wanderer, she was taken in by Ichigo's master. With her innocent and earnest attitude, she blended into the cafe's atmosphere in no time. However, due to her energetic and high-strung personality, she often bumps into things or trips, leaving Coffee Shop Ichigo with hardly any intact plates. Still, her affection for the cafe is second to none.

Léa Wurtz is a retired magician with a terrifying appearance. Nowadays, her routine consists of dumping all the cafe duties onto Souka while sitting back reading the newspaper during business hours without lifting a single finger. In particular, the reason Coffee Shop Ichigo transformed into an animal-eared maid kissaten is entirely because of her. Whether it was her intention remains unknown, but thanks to her lax management approach, Coffee Shop Ichigo became a place frequented by both ordinary people and magicians.
