SEGA Publishing Korea announced on the 16th that Bayonetta will join the racing game 'Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds' as part of the first free update for Season 2 to celebrate the game's first anniversary.
The newly released trailer showcases 'Butterfly Witch,' a machine designed around Bayonetta's signature movements. A specific release schedule for the character's addition has not yet been disclosed.
Season 2 content will roll out sequentially starting in fall 2026. Season Pass 2 includes a total of six new DLC packs, with the first featuring a collaboration with 'Godzilla' and the second with 'Evangelion.' Free additional content, including 'Bayonetta,' will also be released periodically.
SEGA Publishing Korea will announce additional collaboration characters at the World Championship finals in the United States on October 10. The finals will be broadcast live via Twitch and YouTube.
Meanwhile, a new machine, 'Extreme Gear,' has been added to the demo version. The demo allows players to experience 'Grand Prix' and 'Time Trial' modes along with machine and gadget customization, and save data can be transferred to the full game. The demo update applies to the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games versions.
