Marriage is a newly added system in the Aden update, allowing two characters of opposite genders to tie the knot. While actual real-life couples can use it, it also offers a practical feature—teleporting directly to your partner's location—making it tactically useful for hunting partners or duo combat pairs who regularly roam together.
First, to get married, both characters wishing to tie the knot must possess a 'Wedding Ring'. Wedding Rings can be purchased from Raon, the general merchant in Aden Town, for 770,000 Adena each, requiring a total of 1.54 million Adena for both characters.
Once the rings are ready, head to the cathedral located northeast of Aden Square. It is easily accessible using a Speaking Scroll. Next, stand face-to-face in front of the altar, and one character should enter the command /propose. A message asking whether to accept the marriage proposal will appear in the chat box. Upon accepting, both characters enter the married state, and the Wedding Ring changes into '[Spouse]'s Wedding Ring'. Using this wedding ring allows you to teleport to your partner up to 5 times, but you can recharge the usage count by visiting Ariel, the High Priestess of Love, for 5,000 Adena.
As for restrictions, marriage between same-sex characters is not permitted, and as mentioned earlier, both characters must own a Wedding Ring. Additionally, players cannot proceed with a wedding if they are already married and holding a spouse's wedding ring item, or if they have divorced but have not yet destroyed their ring.
Divorce can be initiated from any location by entering the command /divorce. Confirming this immediately processes the divorce: the initiating player's ring is destroyed right away, returning their character to 'Single' status, while the spouse's ring remains in their inventory, placing them in 'Divorced' status rather than 'Single'. In this case as well, typing /divorce will destroy the remaining ring, so to simplify divorce, both players should each enter /divorce.
