Netmarble announced that it will add the new hero 'Kalla' to the open-world RPG 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' on September 17 and hold a 'Poll Summon' event reflecting user voting results.
Developed by Netmarble F&C, 'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' is an open-world RPG available on PlayStation 5, PC, and mobile. The new hero Kalla is an original character unique to the game, showcasing distinct combat styles using Dual Swords, Three-Section Staff, and Gauntlets.
Equipped with Dual Swords, Kalla acts as a Wind-attribute Attacker. Accumulating three types of buffs during battle resets the cooldowns of all her skills and allows her to unleash empowered attacks. With the Three-Section Staff, she becomes a Wind-attribute Buster, inflicting debuffs on enemies to increase Wind-attribute Burst damage. When triggering a Burst, she increases the Critical Damage of Wind-attribute heroes in the team and grants them a shield.
Using Gauntlets allows her to operate as an Earth-attribute Buster. This stance boosts overall team firepower by inflicting debuffs on enemies and increasing the damage of allies' normal skills.
The Poll Summon, which selected pick-up heroes based on user votes, will run from September 17 to October 7. Following the voting that began on August 26, Merlin placed 1st, Elizabeth placed 2nd, and Daisy placed 3rd. A pick-up summon where players can acquire these heroes and their exclusive costumes will also be held.
The third raid content, 'Ferzen Mines,' will also be added. Players can obtain 'Star Fragments' and new equipment by completing it. In the high-difficulty combat content 'Boss Challenge,' the Transcendence difficulty for '[Eroded] Ancient Dragon' is added, rewarding players with materials needed for Transcendence Refinement and Engraving upon completion.
The new quest 'The Holy Knight's Sword' follows Meliodas saving Vanya Village from a crisis caused by a Holy Knight's sword stuck in the village. It also includes iconic scenes from the original work, such as the story with the young boy Mead and the reunion between Holy Knight Gilthunder and Meliodas.
The 'Vanya Ale Festival' will take place from September 17 to October 23. Players can enjoy event quests and a mini-game pouring ale according to orders, and exchange event currency 'Empty Mugs' for growth materials such as 'Brilliant Engraving Seals,' 'Transcendent Engraving Stones,' and 'Transcendent Refinement Stones.'
'The Seven Deadly Sins: Origin' is an open-world RPG based on the 'The Seven Deadly Sins' manga IP. Players can explore the continent of Britannia, switch between various heroes during combat, and experience action utilizing combined attacks and weapon/hero synergies that vary based on team compositions.
