On August 28, the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) Play-In Round 3 match between Hanjin BRION and BNK FEARX took place at Chzzk LoL Park in Jonggak. It was BNK FEARX who emerged victorious in the final showdown with the last playoff spot on the line. After being pushed to the brink of elimination following a win and two consecutive losses, they showed strong late-game resilience to come out as the ultimate victors.

Game 1 turned into a fiercely competitive affair. As BNK FEARX took macro control behind the wave-clear capability of Kim 'TaeYoon' Tae-yoon's well-farmed Sivir, Hanjin BRION stayed right behind with strong teamfighting. Song 'Clear' Hyeon-min's Olaf relentlessly target-locked Sivir, while Park 'Teddy' Jin-seong's Ezreal survived until the end to secure additional kills.

Around the 31-minute mark, with their third dragon approaching, BNK FEARX opened a teamfight as Lee 'VicLa' Dae-kwang's Syndra caught out Jo 'Roamer' Woo-jin's Ryze using Scatter the Weak. Although Olaf managed to finish off Sivir once again, Hanjin BRION's main line couldn't withstand the follow-up in the meantime. Marching down the mid lane with the Hextech Soul, BNK FEARX swept up kills in another fight to take Game 1.

Early in Game 2, Hanjin BRION unilaterally picked up a double kill in a mid-jungle skirmish and added 2 more kills by collapsing on the enemy counter-junglers. It was an added bonus that Roamer's Aurora and Teddy's Caitlyn picked up 2 kills each. BNK FEARX brought in Clear's Rumble to dive Hanjin BRION's bottom lane, but suffered a heavier loss against a perfect counter-attack.

Having opened up a lead of over 5,000 gold in just 15 minutes, Hanjin BRION was relentless. Every time Kim 'Gideon' Min-seong's well-farmed Nocturne turned out the lights, casualties mounted, and even a somewhat aggressive teamfight near the inhibitor yielded a 4-for-3 trade on the back of their sheer power gap. Continuing their winning teamfights, Hanjin BRION overwhelmed their opponents even in a clash where Caitlyn was caught first, taking Game 2.

Hanjin BRION's momentum continued into Game 3. Demonstrating sharp decision-making right from the draft—picking Draven against Lucian, and flexing Jayce to mid while selecting top Kennen when Vayne and Galio were picked—Hanjin BRION executed their composition plan flawlessly in-game to earn a decisive win. In particular, Kennen grew into a massive threat starting with a solo kill, dominating both side lanes and teamfights.

BNK FEARX rallied back in Game 4. In a tightly contested game with both teams trading kills and dragons, BNK FEARX opened up a rift during the third dragon teamfight by securing 4 kills. From there, they scored points in every teamfight and monopolized objectives. Advancing down the bottom lane with the Baron buff, BNK FEARX closed out Game 4 with a Pentakill from TaeYoon's Yunara.

In the deciding Game 5, BNK FEARX took the lead. Clear's surprise Irelia pick grew rapidly by picking up kills early in the laning phase, aided by timely support from Jeon 'Raptor' Eeo-jin's Nidalee. BNK FEARX meticulously snowballed their momentum from this advantage. Baron fell into their hands all too easily, and the gold gap widened to 10,000 by the 24-minute mark.

Hanjin BRION focused on defending their base. They initiated a teamfight before Irelia arrived, creating a 3-for-4 kill trade to stall out the Baron buff, and bought more time by catching out VicLa's Viktor in the top lane. However, around the 30-minute mark, a fatal slip occurred when Roamer's Annie was caught out. BNK FEARX quickly seized on their numerical advantage, pushing straight into the enemy base to seal the series win.
