Global publisher GRYPHLINE announced today that the new version of its 3D real-time strategic RPG Arknights: Endfield, "Dreamscape of Wind and Snow," will be updated on September 2.
This update brings Typhoeus, a familiar Operator from the Arknights universe, along with story content set in the mysterious new exploration stage "Snowy Forest," a new boss, puzzle-exploration content, and various other features.
Typhoeus is an icefield huntress who travels in search of Sami legends. In the Snowy Forest outside Yinglung Pass, she meets the Endministrator and Chief Engineer Andre, becoming entangled in a new series of events.
Trapped by an enchanted fog that repeatedly loops travelers back onto the same path, the group embarks on a journey to uncover the secrets hidden within the forest and find a way to escape.
As players venture deeper into the forest, they will experience vivid environmental effects, such as snow visibly accumulating on the characters' bodies and hair, while facing off against the new regional boss "Gloomwald's Rage" during their exploration.
The new 6-star Operator Typhoeus is a Nature Striker who wields a massive bow. She possesses high mobility, allowing her to leap into the air to strike multiple enemies while evading ground attacks.
She can also deploy an attack field that slows enemy movement, enabling dynamic combat that combines aerial maneuvers, traps, and powerful Nature-attribute attacks.
A unique musical approach has been added to further enhance the atmosphere of the Snowy Forest. Based on Sámi musical culture, the score blends Nordic traditional music with JRPG, fantasy, and electronic elements. Finnish electronic musician Vilma Jää participated in the production, completing a sound unique to Arknights: Endfield.
In the second half of the update on September 24, "Suiming," a new exploration map designed like one giant puzzle across an entire city, will open. Players can enjoy exploration utilizing changing water levels and a time loop that rewinds time every 15 minutes.
Players will explore newly opened streets and routes according to the water levels, collecting necessary components and clues, and uncovering the city's secrets one by one within the repeating loop of time.
In an event running on the same day, players can obtain the Physical Defender Operator Purrchena—who uses a shield and gift boxes to protect and heal allies—along with her recommended weapon, "Dessert Moment," for free.
Furthermore, by completing a total of six event missions, players can acquire all the materials needed to fully max out the Potential of both Purrchena and her recommended weapon.
In addition, new content such as "Trial of the Bow" and "Chubby Lung Attacks!," along with a new season of "Echoes of War" and various quality-of-life improvements, will be applied sequentially throughout the update period.
Meanwhile, GRYPHLINE plans to introduce two Galaxy Store collaboration editions: the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy S26 Ultra "Arknights: Endfield - Autumn Picnic Accessory Edition."
Each edition includes a Typhoeus-themed smartphone case, ▲ an acrylic diorama, ▲ a Galaxy Buds4 | Buds4 Pro Originium Slug Buds Pouch, ▲ a Perlica mousepad, ▲ an Adelia acrylic korotto, and ▲ photocards. A pop-up event will also be held at Samsung Store Bucheon Jungdong. In addition, Arknights: Endfield is heading towards its Steam release, with players currently able to add it to their wishlist via its Steam page.
