2K announced on the 24th that it will launch two new DLCs for Gearbox Software's looter shooter Borderlands 4 simultaneously on September 10, alongside a major update including a level cap increase.

The newly added 'Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort' takes place on 'Providence,' a remote tropical island ruthlessly invaded by the 'Tediore' corporation to claim the rare resource 'Ordonite.' Players must team up with 'FL4K,' the beloved 'Beastmaster' class from Borderlands 3, to rescue their kidnapped skag companion 'Mr. Chew' and engage in fierce battles against the enemy commander 'Lt. Harmony' and elite forces.

In particular, on 'Providence,' which features vertical terrain, players can soar above the jungle using the newly introduced 'Zipline' system and experience strategic battles to secure high ground. Additionally, various world events are prepared, including 'Digiverse' infiltration missions where players strike the network core before enemies materialize in reality, as well as field bosses appearing due to volcanic explosion impacts. Players who complete all exploration and combat in this region will be rewarded with two new 'Pearlescent weapons' and 18 pieces of 'Legendary gear.'

Alongside this, the new 'Vault Hunter' class 'Loveless the Hacker'—a hacker and assassin affiliated with 'Anshin'—makes her debut in the game. Cybernetically enhanced with high-end tech, 'Loveless the Hacker' shares her mind with a sentient digital virus of her own creation, digistructing it into physical form on the battlefield to showcase unpredictable and unorthodox combat action.

Releasing simultaneously, 'Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows' follows an adventure alongside the 'Siren' class 'Amara' to save the planet 'Kairos' and its moon 'Elpis,' which are on the verge of collapse. Players will join forces with 'Amara' to investigate a secret laboratory previously hidden by 'Vile Lictor' and uncover the truth concealed within the 'Phase dimension.' Completing this mission earns players an exclusive skin, a new vehicle, an 'ECHO-4 Drone Skin,' one new 'Pearlescent weapon,' and six pieces of 'Legendary gear.' Furthermore, the 'Vault Card 5' system, featuring 24 cosmetics and 4 reroll gear items, will also be provided.

On the September 10 launch date, the 'Version 1.10 Free Title Update' will be applied for all players. Through this update, the character level cap will be raised by 10 levels, enabling more diverse skill tree combinations and deeper build customization. In addition, previously released content for 'Story Pack 1' and 'Bounty Pack 2' will be separated on console stores to allow individual purchase, and existing console owners can re-download the content from the individual listings on platform stores. Borderlands 4 is available to play on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, as well as PC platforms Steam and the Epic Games Store.
