New details regarding the soundtrack for 'Orbitals,' a co-op game developed by Shapefarm and published by Kepler Interactive, were released today (the 18th).

The soundtrack features a retro-anime style that captures the essence of classic animation. By blending nostalgic familiarity with a fresh sound, it brings the game's vast universe to life in a unique way. A key element completing this nostalgic experience is the voice of Japanese singer-songwriter Mami Ayukawa, who performed both the opening and ending theme songs.

Known for her work on various iconic 1980s sci-fi anime themes, including 'Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam,' Mami Ayukawa is set to bring a touch of retro-anime nostalgia to players through the 'Orbitals' opening theme, '~Accelerating Destiny~,' and the ending theme, 'Heart To Heart.

Starting today, '~Accelerating Destiny~' is available for streaming and purchase on major music platforms and online stores, alongside a new official music video.

"I am truly happy and honored to have had the opportunity to sing the theme songs for 'Orbitals'," said Mami Ayukawa. "I poured all the soul and love I have cultivated through my music since the 1980s into these tracks. I sincerely hope that these feelings reach the hearts of everyone who plays the game."

Additionally, pre-orders for a 7-inch vinyl record featuring the 'Orbitals' opening and ending themes are available starting today via Laced Records. The vinyl includes '~Accelerating Destiny~' and 'Heart To Heart,' with karaoke versions of each track on the B-side. The 7-inch vinyl is scheduled to ship in the second half of this year.

The full original game soundtrack will be released digitally on September 3, coinciding with the game's launch. Further details will be shared via the game's official social media channels.

'Orbitals' will launch exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2™ on September 3, 2026, and pre-orders are currently open. The game will be available in both digital and physical formats, with a Digital Deluxe Edition also available, which includes the game soundtrack and additional digital bonuses. The soundtrack can be accessed via the main menu of the base game.
