The 'Ghost' series has firmly established itself as a flagship franchise for Sucker Punch. Today (the 13rd), a Complete Edition for its latest entry, 'Ghost of Yōtei,' was revealed in a surprise announcement.

The 'Ghost of Yōtei' Complete Edition introduces two major pieces of new content. First is the new story expansion, 'Echoes of Sekigahara.' As the title suggests, the story is set against the backdrop of the Battle of Sekigahara, the final gateway through which Tokugawa Ieyasu solidified his hegemony over Japan.

'Echoes of Sekigahara' begins with the arrival of Nagato, whom players met on the Mainland, in Ezo. The most notable feature of this expansion is that the narrative shifts between the present timeline of the main game and the past, when Atsu was active as a ronin on the Mainland.

In the present, players will explore an untamed frontier ruled by the Snake and his loyal followers. In the past, players will experience Atsu’s participation in the Battle of Sekigahara and key moments from her life before she returned home to seek vengeance. Along with this, various collection and progression elements, including new enemies, weapons, armor sets, and dyes, will be added.

Another core piece of content is the 'Most Wanted' mode. This is an all-new single-player survival mode that blends the roguelike genre with the signature action and atmosphere of the 'Ghost' series.

Players can accept bounty hunting missions to start a new game, defeating enemies to earn perks. As play progresses, it is also possible to unlock new characters. This provides a fresh way to enjoy the game for users who have already completed the main story and the 'Legend' mode. Additionally, various other features are included, such as new tracks exclusive to the 'Watanabe' mode.

The 'Ghost of Yōtei' Complete Edition is scheduled for release on October 2. It is priced at $69.99 (approximately ₩100k), and users who have already purchased the base game can upgrade to the Complete Edition for $14.99 (approximately ₩20k). Furthermore, those who pre-order by September 30 will receive early access to the Sakai Clan Armor.

Meanwhile, the sales page for the Complete Edition has not yet opened on the domestic store; further information regarding the domestic release and pricing will be announced at a later date.
