'Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon,' a mobile MMORPG developed by Supercat and serviced by Nexon, will officially end its service on February 12, 2027.

Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds: Yeon is a mobile MMORPG based on Nexon's flagship IP, 'Nexus: The Kingdom of the Winds.' Since its launch in July 2020, it was praised for capturing the unique sentiment of the original game and even reached second place in Google Play's top-grossing charts. However, following changes in the development and operational environment that began last year, the team reviewed various future directions. Ultimately, they determined that it would be difficult to continue providing a service that meets user expectations and decided to terminate the game.

Nexon announced the service termination via its official community today (the 12nd), along with details on future updates and user protection measures. First, the company will provide full refunds for all payments made within the six months prior to the announcement date (August 12). Detailed criteria for refunds, application schedules, and procedures will be provided in a separate notice in the near future.

The game's structure will also be overhauled immediately. Starting with the first update on August 13, all sales of paid items will be discontinued, and reward amounts for content will be increased to ensure players can experience smooth progression through gameplay alone. Remaining Red Gems can be exchanged for a new currency called 'Melody,' which can be used for in-game distribution and traded on the Market via Blue Gem exchanges. Additionally, a 6th-anniversary event featuring generous rewards will be held for the players who have been with the game.

In the second update on September 10, the main story concluding the events after Sahwido will be released, along with 'Illusionary Guknaeseong,' a new area that reimagines the nostalgic Guknaeseong region. A new time-attack mode called 'Path of the Moment' will also be introduced, allowing players to quickly clear dungeons with unique clear mechanics, such as the Doll Cave, Sejak, and Haunted House.

Finally, the third update on October 15 will unveil the grand finale of the main story, bringing the game to its conclusion. At this point, cooperative content will be linked to allow many users to participate together and finish the final journey as a community.

Nexon stated that after the content updates are completed in October, they will focus on live service management and events until the service ends in February 2027, doing their utmost to ensure users can enjoy the game without inconvenience until the very end.
