T1 lost 0-2 to kt Rolster in the Legend Group match of the 2026 LoL Champions Korea (LCK) regular season Round 3, held at LoL PARK in Jongno on the 29th. Despite leading in global gold, the team repeatedly faltered in critical moments, leading to losses in both sets.

After the match, Acting Head Coach Lim Jae-hyeon visited the press room and summarized the day's performance: "I am very sorry that we started the third round with such poor performance. There are many reasons for the defeat. When our initial plans go wrong, we struggle to pivot, and we need to improve our coordination during team fights."

T1 has recently shown a recurring pattern of losing team fights and allowing comebacks despite holding a gold lead. Regarding this, Lim explained, "Even when we are ahead in gold, we fail to fully utilize our numbers. There are many operational aspects we need to fix. Because of these issues, we end up fighting without the advantage that our gold lead should provide."

He continued his candid assessment of the team's current state: "I think our focus in team fights is off, and we aren't finding the right spots to engage. We need to secure vision before fighting, but our coordination in that area is also lacking. There are many complex factors involved. I believe we need to go back to basics and rebuild step by step."

'Doran' Choi Hyun-joon, who joined the press conference, said, "Today's loss felt similar to our recent matches. I think the repeated mistakes have lowered the team's confidence, which is affecting our performance. We need to have more discussions about the game among the team members."

When asked if the team's physical condition was affected by the consecutive tournament and team schedules, Doran was cautious: "There are teams that have played more matches than us, so I don't look for excuses there. I believe the team is overloaded for other reasons. Since it's an internal team matter, I can't go into detail. We have identified those reasons within the squad and have talked a lot about how we can improve."
