Nexon Games (CEO Park Yong-hyun) announced on the 29th that it will participate in the Nexon Foundation's (Chairman Kim Jung-wook) social contribution project, 'Borderless,' to support the creation of craft works using the 'Blue Archive' IP.
On the 26th, Nexon Games signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Nexon Foundation and the Korea Ceramic Foundation (CEO Ryu In-kwon) to launch the 'Borderless: Craft Archive' project. Through this agreement, the three parties will collaborate on the production and exhibition of works featuring the 'Blue Archive' IP, as well as the operation of interactive programs for visitors.
'Borderless' is a social contribution project by the Nexon Foundation that highlights the cultural and artistic value of games. It provides creators with access to Nexon's game IPs to serve as a source of artistic inspiration and supports the public enjoyment of the resulting works.
This collaboration is significant as it brings 'Blue Archive' into the world of crafts, bridging tradition and modernity. Six craft artists specializing in ceramics, metal, woodworking, glass, mother-of-pearl, and textiles will plan and create works based on the 'Blue Archive' IP. As the IP provider, Nexon Games will oversee joint inspections at each stage of production and provide creative consultation throughout the process.
The works created through this collaboration will be unveiled at the '2026 Gyeonggi Craft Festa,' held from October 23 to November 1 at the Gyeonggi Craft Creation Support Center in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province. During the event, the six artists' works will be exhibited, and interactive programs will be available for the general public and game fans.
Kim Yong-ha, Director at Nexon Games, stated, "It is meaningful that 'Blue Archive' is being expanded into new forms through the interpretations of craft artists. We hope this collaboration serves as an opportunity for people to experience the 'Blue Archive' IP in more diverse ways."
Nexon Foundation Chairman Kim Jung-wook said, "Through "Borderless," Nexon has showcased new and innovative creations that break down the boundaries between games and art. We will work with Nexon Games and the Korea Ceramic Foundation to widely promote the cultural and artistic value of game IPs."
Korea Ceramic Foundation CEO Ryu In-kwon remarked, "This is a significant agreement that opens up new creative possibilities by bringing together the two realms of traditional crafts and games. We hope this cooperation will broaden the base of the craft culture industry and lead new audiences into the world of crafts."
Meanwhile, Nexon Games plans to continuously share the significance of this collaboration by showcasing the production process and event highlights through various channels.
