Blizzard Entertainment has released the '12.7' content update, 'Revelations,' for 'World of Warcraft: Midnight' (hereinafter 'Midnight'), adding a variety of content including new daily activity zones and a new raid. Additionally, the company unveiled key details for 'Midnight's' first major update, Patch 12.1, 'Curse of Ulatek.
The 'Revelations' update introduces two new daily activity zones, 'Naiktal' and 'Val,' to the battlefield. Portals connecting the two zones will open on an alternating weekly basis, allowing players to choose between Normal and Heroic difficulties to complete various daily missions, such as Unique Monster eliminations and World Quests.
A new type of raid dungeon, 'Fungal Abyss,' also makes its debut. Players can clash with the fungal giant 'Corrosive Mire' to earn various rewards, including powerful spore-infused equipment. Notably, this raid introduces the 'Flexible Mythic Difficulty,' a variable raid system. Unlike the traditional fixed 20-player Mythic mode, this system allows players to freely adjust the raid size between 15 and 25 members.
A new system called the 'Omnium Grimoire' has been added to assist with character growth. It includes powerful runes that maximize in-game combat efficiency. Players can collect large quantities of these runes by participating in weekly content and upgrade them to unlock the full potential of their equipment.
A new 'Loa' storyline, which adds depth to Azeroth's lore, is also being unveiled. In this chapter, the apprentice lorewalker 'Li Li' serves as the narrator, unfolding a main quest-centered narrative involving the 'Loa,' the wild gods worshipped by troll tribes across Azeroth.
Blizzard Entertainment will host the 'Turbulent Timeways' event starting the week of July 2. This season includes 'Dragonflight' dungeons in the rotation, and players who complete the multi-week meta-achievement 'Turbulent Timeways V' will be rewarded with the 'Vyranoth's Scion' mount.
During the 'Revelations' update, the in-game sports event 'World of Warcraft Goal' will be available for a limited time. Players can obtain Alliance and Horde faction tabards and soccer toys from a merchant in the capital city of 'Silvermoon' to participate in matches. Scoring goals during matches unlocks various customization items, such as framed faction tabards and commemorative trophies. Other improvements include the 'Zul'jan' campaign quest line, field content supporting the hatching of new 'Zan'alari' eggs, and general class balance patches to enhance user convenience and gameplay.
In the 'WoWCast' video released on the 19th, the World of Warcraft development team shared details on 'The Curse of Ulatek,' the 12.1 patch and first major update for 'Midnight.'
'Coiled Isle,' a new outdoor zone on the Zul'Aman coast and the core setting for 'Curse of Ulatek,' has been revealed. Players can follow the next chapter of the 'Midnight' campaign to experience new zones and events. The update also plans to add a wealth of content, including the new 'Venomous Abyss' raid, the 'Altar of Fangs' dungeon, 'The Lair' featuring multi-difficulty field boss raids, and three new Delves, including a new nemesis Delve. Furthermore, 'Midnight Season 2,' starting one week after the update's launch, will introduce diverse season-limited content, such as a Mythic+ dungeon rotation, a new bot-battle Arena, and 'Prey Season 2.'
Additionally, the 'Arcantina Quest' will continue the story, accompanied by user interface (UI) improvements such as cooldown management features and a ping signal system. The highly anticipated housing system will receive new features, including export/import functions to save and share blueprints with others, and an option to place pets inside the house. Four new 'Social Gathering' content types and class-specific updates will also be applied to expand the overall gameplay experience.
The 'WoWCast' video, which introduces the 12.7 update 'Revelation' for 'Midnight' and the 12.1 update 'The Curse of Ulatek,' is available on the official World of Warcraft website. Official images and media assets can be downloaded from the press center.
