NetEase Games will release the Version 1.8 update for 'Where Winds Meet,' an open-world martial arts action RPG developed by its subsidiary Everstone Studio, on the 25th (KST). This update introduces the 'Homestead System' for managing territories and a new 'Pet System,' with additional content scheduled for sequential release throughout July.

The 'Family Business' system, which allows players to develop and manage a village, takes place in 'Qinghe,' the hometown of 'Justice Online' players. This content is set in 'Buxianxian,' a village that was once the birthplace of legendary martial artists but has since fallen into ruin. Players can hire workers to expand their territory and engage in various business activities, including building inns, producing celadon, brewing, farming, and trading. In July, the game will expand its construction and social features, allowing players to decorate their own territories and interact with others. Resources accumulated through these business activities can be exchanged for a variety of items, including limited-edition cosmetics, at the 'Family Business Shop.

The 'Pet System' also makes its debut, allowing players to be accompanied by cute companions like cats and geese. In-game pets react naturally to environmental changes and unexpected events as they join the player on their journey. On the day of the update, cat pets such as 'Maverick,' 'Scar,' and 'Pudding' will be added, followed by the goose pet 'Goldie' in the second week. A 'Companion Shop' will also open, where players can unlock pet interaction behaviors and purchase exclusive skins and emotes. A 'Pet Battle System' is planned for a future patch.

In the update on the 25th, NetEase Games will introduce 'Wudao Shenggong,' a challenge mode where players form five-person teams to conquer a 20-floor dungeon. 'Wudao Shenggong' is accessible only to players level 60 and above, with combat difficulty increasing significantly as they ascend to higher floors. Clearing the challenge grants limited-edition hero titles, exclusive items, and in-game resources. A new PvPvE mode, 'Ancient Tomb Excavation,' which involves exploring ancient caves, will also be added on the 25th. Completing 'Ancient Tomb Excavation' allows players to earn event points that can be exchanged for limited-edition items.

In July, a new minigame titled 'Phantom Goose' will be unveiled. Players will take on the role of the goose 'Bo' to engage in combat, defeat enemies, and earn event rewards. Additionally, the second version of 'Guild Association' will provide three new minigames designed for quick, casual play, offering opportunities to earn limited-edition skins and cosmetic items.
