On the 18th, Digital Extremes released the latest narrative chapter for 'Warframe,' titled 'Jade Shadows: Constellations,' for free across all platforms. This update continues the story of Stalker as a father, concluding the conflict between two versions of his son through an action-packed, anime-inspired quest. Players can encounter the 65th new Warframe, 'Sirius' and 'Orion,' along with their mentors, the Protoframes 'Ryoku' and 'Vina.' Additionally, the update introduces new Railjack missions, the 50th Prime Warframe 'Styanax Prime,' and a variety of new weapons and cosmetic items.
Rebecca Ford, Creative Director at Digital Extremes, stated, "Warframe has always combined bold media inspiration with relatable human stories. "Constellations' was a special opportunity to shed new light on the stories of characters we love and introduce a new Warframe that can be played in a completely different way. This update is a tribute to single fathers and a love letter to the dramatic rivalries in the anime we adore. We are only halfway through the year, and there is much more in store for the Warframe community. Please look forward to the various announcements coming at TennoCon this July.
The newly added 'Jade Shadows: Constellations' quest deals with the clash of two beings from different timelines. As the narrative of Stalker and his child unfolds, two different futures collide in the present. Tenno (players) will experience the fierce battle between 'Sirius' and 'Orion' as they clash for survival and the proof of their existence. Detailed information, including prerequisites for the quest, can be found in the official quest guide.
Upon completing the quest, players can choose to form an alliance with either the sharp 'Ryoku' or the ruthless 'Vina.' Once the alliance is formed, new Railjack missions in the Uranus Proxima region will be unlocked. Players can command the chosen companion's dedicated ship, welcome them as official crew members, and engage in large-scale space battles infiltrating enemy vessels.
The 65th Warframes, 'Sirius' and 'Orion,' share a unique rivalry, and players can switch between the two characters in real-time during combat. 'Sirius' annihilates enemies by throwing a signature scythe and deploys a healing zone to restore allies' health. Conversely, 'Orion' delivers powerful slashes and creates a black hole that pulls nearby enemies together. Using their ultimate skill, where the two rivals clash in mid-air, provides the thrill of devastating all enemies on the battlefield.
The new Prime Access lineup, 'Styanax Prime,' has also been unveiled. 'Styanax Prime' features enhanced energy and shield capacity, an additional Naramon polarity slot, and boasts ornate Prime armor decorations. The update also includes the signature 'Afentis Prime' speargun, 'Ax-52 Prime' pistol (Atodai Prime), and a new Syandana. These items can be purchased immediately in the in-game marketplace or earned for free as gameplay rewards; detailed information is available in the Prime Access FAQ.
Various cosmetic items, weapons, and balance adjustments (retouches) for existing characters have also been applied. A new 'Titonis Skin' for 'Dante' has been added, and 'Nidus' has received ability reworks to improve survivability. The new scythe weapons 'Pride' and 'Wrath,' representing each timeline, make their debut, alongside Protoframe-style hairstyles, four new Artragraph mod designs, and five new Incarnon weapons, adding to the fun of collection.
Digital Extremes plans to host 'TennoCon' on July 10th and 11st, with major announcements broadcast live via official Twitch and YouTube channels. The specific timetable and event information will be provided on the official website.
Details regarding the update can be found on the official 'Warframe' website and wiki, with real-time news provided through the official lounge and various social media channels.
