On the 17th, NC updated its MMORPG 'Aion 2' with collaboration content featuring the idol group 'fromis_9.' The update includes collaboration cosmetic items, events, a membership overhaul, and new PVP content.

Aion 2 has released a collaboration video featuring fromis_9 traveling through 'Atreia,' the game's setting. Players can find cosmetic items in-game that match the outfits worn in the video. Equipping the full cosmetic set allows players to transform into the members of fromis_9.

In addition to the outfits, the collaboration items include the 'Baby Flonyang' and 'Flo-bong' pets, the 'Four-Leaf Clover Wings,' and the 'fromis_9 Lightstick' weapon skin. Two new emotes featuring choreography from fromis_9's hit song 'LIKE YOU BETTER' have also been added.

Using these emotes automatically plays the song. A feature has been introduced that allows nearby players to dance along, and using the emotes on the 'fromis_9 Collaboration Stage' that has appeared in town triggers automatic stage effects.

The collaboration commemorative event, 'The Stolen Performance Props,' will run until August 12. Players can participate in event quests to find missing props so that fromis_9 can proceed with their performance, earning three types of emotes and a limited-edition title as a reward.

Membership products have also been overhauled. The sale of the three existing memberships—'Shugo Express,' 'Breeze,' and 'Chengarung'—has ended, and they are being consolidated into a single 'Kwairing Express' membership. NC explained that the integrated membership offers a reduced price and enhanced benefits.

New PVP content, the 'Abyss Rift Zone,' has also been added. The Abyss Rift Zone is a combat mode where players compete over field bosses on a large battlefield. Depending on the event results, rewards such as Abyss Points, Abyss Commendation Medals, and six types of Abyss Boss paintings are distributed accordingly. The event area opens at regular intervals and is conducted on a server-unit basis, consistent with Abyss matching. Participation does not consume Abyss entry time.

Improvements based on player feedback have also been implemented. The number of map pins that can be displayed on the world map has been increased from 10 to 30. Additionally, all skill cooldowns are now reset upon the conclusion of an Awakening Battle.
