NC has withdrawn civil and criminal legal actions against a YouTuber who spread false information about its games.

According to an NC official on the 21st, the company decided to show leniency toward the operator of the YouTube channel 'Gamchanghyun' and withdrew the lawsuit. An NC official stated, "Following our legal response, the YouTuber in question admitted their wrongdoing and expressed their intention to apologize," adding, "We decided to show leniency in consideration of their awareness of the seriousness of the matter, their remorse, and their promise to prevent recurrence." Previously, on December 17, 2025, NC filed a criminal complaint and a lawsuit for damages against the operator of the YouTube channel 'Gamchanghyun' at the Seoul Gangnam Police Station and the Seoul Central District Court. The YouTuber was charged with defamation and obstruction of business for posting claims regarding NC's new game 'Aion 2,' which is currently under development, alleging that "only non-paying users are penalized," "macros are sold," and "an NC official is the owner of a gold farming operation." At the time, the company decided to take legal action to prevent general users from suffering damage due to the spread of false information. NC plans to maintain its stance of dealing with malicious slander and abusive language to protect game users, intellectual property rights, shareholders, and employees. An NC official stated, "We will continue our efforts to provide good games by listening to and communicating criticisms regarding our corporate activities and services."
