Supercell announced that its mobile game 'Brawl Stars' held a ceremony to donate the proceeds generated from its collaboration with the Doosan Bears.
The ceremony took place on April 19 at Jamsil Baseball Stadium in Seoul, prior to the game between the Doosan Bears and the KIA Tigers. Attendees included Doosan Bears player representative Jung Soo-bin, Jacklog, and Choi Byung-jun, a manager from the Supercell Brawl Stars team.
The donation was raised through the sale of collaborative merchandise between the Doosan Bears and Brawl Stars from last year through March of this year. The funds will be delivered to 'Make-A-Wish Korea,' a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children with critical illnesses, to help bring hope to those children.
Choi Byung-jun, marketing manager for Brawl Stars in Korea, stated, "It is deeply meaningful that the interest and participation shown by our fans have led to this act of sharing. Brawl Stars will continue to strive to create positive value together with our community."
A Doosan Bears representative said, "Thanks to the support our fans showed for the collaboration with Supercell, we were able to make this meaningful donation. We will continue to engage in social contribution activities with our fans through various initiatives moving forward."
Meanwhile, Supercell and the Doosan Bears have provided fans with new experiences through various collaborations, including 'Brawl Stars Day' during the three-game series on Children's Day last year and the 'Dooplash' event during the summer season.
