LNG GALA on EDG Uzi: "...I believe he can still become one of the top tier AD carries."

LNG Esports' star AD carry, Chen "GALA" Wei, recently sat down with Inven Global to discuss his transition to LNG from Royal Never Give Up (RNG), his synergy with new support partner Fu "Hang" Ming-Hang, and his thoughts on the state of the ADC meta, specifically Kai'Sa.

GALA's switch to LNG wasn't just about a jersey change. It marked a new chapter in his illustrious career. Reminiscing about his early days with the team, GALA shared, "On the first day I joined LNG, we faced the challenge of limited practice time. With just a few days before the LPL summer split kickoff, we approached the regular season as our synergy-building phase." Their commitment to enhancing in-game communication has clearly paid off, with their strong performances being a testament to the team's hard work.

He also shed light on the talent within LNG. "Inside our team, we have numerous great players," he said. This, combined with their aligned views, has fostered an impressive synergy in a relatively brief period.

Every AD carry and support duo has its unique dynamics. GALA, having previously played with legendary support Shi "Ming" Sen-Ming on RNG, described him as a super-veteran for LPL with abundant experience. Comparing this with his current bot-lane partner Hang, he mentioned, "But for Hang, he's a strong talent, still shaping up to be an even better pro player."

However, the partnership between GALA and Hang has evolved rapidly. "Having played against various bot laners before, I enjoy sharing my experiences with Hang," GALA added, emphasizing their commitment to mutual growth. "In regular practice, I guide him on what needs to be done in different situations, allowing us to progress significantly."

If he's given Kai'Sa, though, Hang should have nothing to worry about. GALA's affection for the Daughter of the Void is palpable. When probed about the current ADC meta, he confidently stated, "If Kai'Sa is the hot pick, I'm wholly confident with this champion." He further elaborated, "A good player can use Kai'Sa to craft numerous opportunities and even miracles, particularly in teamfights. The ability to target the back lane easily with her E skill makes her a formidable force. She's a champion I truly adore for the highlights she brings to the stage."

Reflecting on RNG, GALA also spoke about Jian "Uzi" Zi-Hao's return to competition with EDward Gaming. Giving his take on this, GALA said, "Uzi's return after such a hiatus showcased his adaptability. We scrimmed against EDG, and it felt like he still retained a top-tier AD carry performance. And if he got the opportunity definitely I believe he can still become one of the top tier AD carries."

GALA's tenure with RNG undoubtedly shaped his professional journey. But his successes, even outside RNG, as he pointed out, underscore his individual prowess. "Being able to qualify for the World Championship with different teams gives me immense confidence and fuels my desire for more victories."

As a player known for his superior mechanics, GALA also offered a peek into his approach to the game, especially when it comes to securing pentakills. "It's all about positioning and maximizing damage. Securing a pentakill thrills me to the core, even if I don't always show it outwardly."

In sum, GALA's insights offer a glimpse into the world of a top LPL AD carry. With LNG's rising momentum and GALA's prowess, top contenders like JD Gaming and Gen.G cannot rest easy on their way to win the Summoner's Cup.
