The Moment: MSI 2017 Group Stage Day 3 Highlight

◈ G2 e-Sports vs Team Solo Mid - Gap is Clo..sing?

It was a highly anticipated match between the champions of North America and Europe, but the quality of the match was mediocre. TSM had a very strong early game, but they gave G2 a chance to come back by their poor macro decisions in mid to late game.

On the bright side, the match was very entertaining to watch. G2 made a gamble by going for TSM's Nexus instead of the Elder Dragon, and they almost succeeded. If Zven didn't use his ultimate on Hauntzer and went for Nexsus instead; If Trick managed to get healed from Redemption...The match would have ended differently.

◈ SK Telecom T1 vs Flash Wolves - The SKT T1, The 'Faker'

Trying to swap lanes against SKT takes courage; however, courage alone wasn't enough for FW. Within 30 minutes into the game, SKT's gold advantage was over 5,000. When FW deperately tried teamfight to make a difference, SKT showed mechanical supremacy.

Among SKT T1 players, Faker again surpassed expectations with Fizz by surviving what seemed like a certain death multiple times. The daring escapes were worthy of the best mid laner in the world playing for the best team in the world.

◈ Gigabyte Marines vs Team WE - The Enemy Has Been... Slay-in.

From the first day, GAM's Optimus and Levi often stole the show. Optimus performed well with LeBlanc, and Levi was skilled with aggressive junglers like Lee Sin and Kha'Zix.

However, in the match against Team WE, Slay was in the limelight instead and he carried the team to victory. The play that needs watched is how he fought very well in the teamfight that happened near the Baron spawn. With this match, Slay could establish himself as a world-class ADC...as long as he doesn't flash forward again.

◈ Team WE vs Team Solo Mid - Jump, Regret, Defeat

TSM Svenskeren is the most aggressive jungler in NA. Not only he likes to counterjungle, but he also likes to pick a fight in jungle as well. However, such aggressiveness often is a double-edged sword. In fact, it was precisely his aggressiveness that did him in during the match against SKT T1.

TSM had the early game advantage with good backup during a skirmish. Unfortunately, Svenskeren's aggressiveness came back to bite him. Most of WE was deep in the jungle, and TSM was missing the ADC due to him going back to base. Yet, Svenskeren jumped on WE's Support, which backfired into a lost teamfight. From that point, WE never gave TSM a chance to recover.
